Description
Patchouli Essential Oil is a sensual oil with antiseptic properties. Patchouli is effective in aromatherapy as a sedating, relaxing and calming oil with earthy wood notes. Patchouli is a strengthening and grounding oil used to stabilise nervous tension and mild anxiety. Patchouli oil can be applied topically in dilution to treat inflamed or dry, cracked skin. It can be added to the hair to relieve itchy scalp or dandruff. Patchouli can suppress appetite to promote weight loss. Patchouli oil can be used as an insect repellent and to relieve bites or stings. Combine with the following essential oils for a natural insect repellent remedy:
- Basil
- Peppermint
- Tea tree

Directions of use:
- Vaporiser: Add 10 -15 drops of the essential oil to the Sasy n Savy electrical vaporiser. No water required. For further instructions please refer to the box.
- Bath: To minimise the risk of skin irritations in the bath, you can use Glycerine (which is a water dispersible agent) to dissolve the essential oils into the water.
- Inhaling: Add 6 drops of the essential oil to 1 litre of steaming water. Cover the head with a towel and inhale for 5 minutes, keeping eyes closed.
- Massage/Skin application: Normally used only when instructed by a health care professional or where specifically recommended. Small localised area only.
